Post partum urinary incontinence

CPD hours:
2

Postpartum urinary incontinence, or PUI, is involuntarily loss of urine, which occurs among women after childbirth.

It is one of the most common patterns of maternal morbidity.

Compared to women who have never given birth, the risk of acquiring urinary incontinence is 2.6 times higher in women after childbirth.

It is associated with functional impairment and lifestyle alterations including alterations to daily living tasks.

Medical and non-medical treatment and prevention measures are required to improve the quality of life for women following childbirth.

This module is especially relevant to midwives.

It is also recommended for all health professionals taking care of women during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

This module begins by outlining the physiology of the bladder and the etiology and classification of postpartum urinary incontinence, followed by an explanation of risk factors, patient assessment and optimal management of postpartum urinary incontinence.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
